He published an interdisciplinary trilogy of books on the post-war American West: \u003ci\u003eThe Cultures of the American New West\u003c\/i\u003e (2000), \u003ci\u003eThe Rhizomatic West\u003c\/i\u003e (2008) and \u003ci\u003ePost-Westerns: Cinema, Region, West \u003c\/i\u003e(2013). He co-edited the book series Place, Memory, Affect and has a volume within it, \u003ci\u003eAffective Critical Regionality\u003c\/i\u003e (2016). He edited \u003ci\u003eUnder the Western Sky \u003c\/i\u003e(2018), a collection of essays on the fiction and music of Willy Vlautin, and authored \u003ci\u003eWorlding the Western\u003c\/i\u003e (2022). He is currently working on a new book, \u003ci\u003eErrant Wests\u003c\/i\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAlasdair Kean \u003c\/b\u003eis formerly Principal Lecturer in American Studies, University of Derby, UK.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAndrew Dix\u003c\/b\u003e is Senior Lecturer in American Studies, Loughborough University, UK.
