The Blue Ridge Tunnel Mystery - Hardcover

by Mj Rosewood (Author)

Four kids. One storm. Two and a half centuries of history on the line.

When lighting strikes their car as it enters the Blue Ridge tunnel, eleven-year-old Tucker and his three best friends are hurtled back in time with only a magical zircon rock as their guide.

Scattered across nearly 250 years of North Carolina history, Tucker rides for the Patriots before the Battle of Kings Mountain, while his best friend Cooper works his way through a Confederate Army post. Meanwhile, their sisters, Haleigh and Tessa, visit a 1911 summer camp that tests their courage and friendship. Along the way, all four cross paths with the same inventor-Thomas Edison-who may be the only one who can help them reunite and return home.

Perfect for ages 8-12 and fans of The Magic Tree House and the National Park Mystery series, this fast-paced adventure blends kid inventors and representation of special-needs characters with nonstop history and STEM excitement. Parents and teachers will love the reading extension ideas for their middle-grade readers. With danger, humor, and heart, Book 1 in the Blue Ridge Kids series proves that when kids show what they are capable of, anything is possible.
