Salt Air and Gunpowder - Paperback

by Samuel Medlin (Author)

This book explores the "War in the Pacific" from the viewpoint of the men who served on board the ships affectionately known as the "Tin Cans". These Tin Cans were of course the Destroyers. Often fighting against seemingly insurmountable odds, the Sailors of these ships fought with grit, determination and bravery even in the face of death. Theirs is a story that deserves to be told. Many of them are no longer with us, but we should never forget their sacrifice.
